We're not that far away

What’s going to happen to these hundreds of Portland cyclists during the next fifty years as our little legs get all used up? Are the city planners paying attention? Hellooo? Widen the bike lanes! We WILL NOT resort to cars!

Did you read about the break-in to the bike alliance shop?

If you mean Community Cycling Center, yes, I read all about it on bikeportland.org. I don't understand it when robbers pick on someone small. CCC is a great but small shop that helps people get into biking without spending piles of money. They rely in part on volunteers and donations, selling mostly rebuilt bikes. They also teach bike maintenance. Raking in the profits is clearly not their mission.
If I had the misfortune to need to rob a place, I'd at least pick someplace that could halfway afford it. Not that that would make it alright, but good grief, to pick on someone who's out there helping people avoid having to buy into the whole car moneypit?
Please.
